Senator Bong Go gave a lighthearted but clear message during a recent radio interview, reminding the public that the use of technology such as artificial intelligence (AI) comes with a responsibility to uphold integrity and protect the truth after being asked about a viral AI-generated image that portrayed him as a baby.
While amused by the image, Go took the opportunity to emphasize the importance of responsible technology use.
The lawmaker was responding to a question regarding the so-called “cute baby AI” version of himself that had recently made rounds online. While the image had a lighthearted appeal, the senator reminded listeners that AI tools should be used responsibly and not for deceit.
“Nakakawala ng pagod na matanda pala ang boses,” Go added jokingly, describing how the image offered a moment of levity amid the demands of public service.
Earlier, he strongly condemned the malicious use of artificial intelligence to create and spread a fake video on an alleged investment scam that falsely depicts personalities, including himself as endorsers.
Go called on the public to stay vigilant against fake news and AI-generated disinformation.
