Negros Occidental Governor Bong Lacson, together with 303rd Brigade Commander BGen. Ted Dumosmog and Provincial Planning and Development Office OIC Anna Marie Lucasan, led the ceremonial turnover of Provincial Peace and Order–funded projects to beneficiaries during a program held at the Capitol Social Hall.
Highlighting the activity was the distribution of more than ₱1 million worth of insurance claims under the Provincial Government’s Barangay Insurance Program.
Beneficiaries of more than ₱1 million worth of insurance claims included barangay tanods, officials and employees, barangay health workers (BHW), and barangay nutrition scholars.
Beneficiaries included barangay tanods, officials and employees, barangay health workers (BHW), and barangay nutrition scholars (BNS) from various towns and cities across Negros Occidental.
A total of ₱390,000 in transportation allowance was turned over to 25 part-time and five full-time Peace and Development Community Volunteers.
In addition, a total of ₱390,000 in transportation allowance was turned over to 25 part-time and five full-time Peace and Development Community Volunteers (PDCVs) serving different local government units in the province.
Lacson underscored that these initiatives reflect the Provincial Government’s continuing commitment to support grassroots frontliners and community volunteers.
According to the governor, their roles are vital in maintaining peace, order, and public welfare in Negros Occidental.
