BULACAN REELECTS GOV. FERNANDO, VICE GOV. CASTRO

Incumbent Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando and Vice Governor Alexis Castro were officially proclaimed as the duly elected Governor and Vice Governor of the Province of Bulacan following their landslide victory in the 2025 midterm elections.

The Provincial Board of Canvassers composed of Vice Chairman and Chief Provincial Prosecutor Ramoncito Bienvenido T. Ocampo Jr., Chairman and Provincial Election Supervisor Atty. Mona Ann T. Aldana-Campos, and SDO Bulacan Schools Division Superintendent Norma P. Esteban, formally declared the two top provincial officials during the proclamation ceremony held at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center here following the completion of canvassing of votes where Fernando amassed a total of 1,117,893 votes, while Castro secured a stronger mandate with 1,360,020 votes from across Bulacan’s 20 municipalities and four component cities.

Fernando, who is now set to serve his third and final term, thanked the Bulakenyos for once again entrusting him with the highest leadership position in the province.

Castro, also re-elected for a second term, expressed his gratitude and reaffirmed his commitment to serve with integrity and compassion.

“May mga lapses din kami but we’re ready to listen kung ano pa ‘yung pwede i-improve.”

“We know we’re not perfect public servants. May mga lapses din kami but we’re ready to listen kung ano pa ‘yung pwede i-improve. We’re very motivated na mas paunlarin ang Lalawigan ng Bulacan, matulungan ang mamamayang Bulakenyo sa kanilang mga hanapbuhay, sa edukasyon, kalusugan, at ‘yung patuloy na laban natin sa maayos na serbisyo sa tubig ay ipagpapatuloy namin ng ating mahal na gobernador,” the vice governor said.

Over the past years, Fernando and Castro have pushed for major reforms and programs in health, education, infrastructure, disaster resilience, and good governance, reflecting the strong support and approval of Bulakenyos for their leadership and vision for the province.

The proclamation was also attended by family members, local leaders, department heads, supporters, and representatives from the Commission on Elections.
