The activity signals the start of four (4) months of rigorous and highly specialized training designed to strengthen the customs enforcement team’s ability to master advanced operational skills that directly enhance their capability to respond to complex enforcement-related threats, which aligns with the BOC’s commitment to reinforce border protection and safeguard legitimate trade.

“To all the batches, continue your efforts and strive for excellence, because our citizens must recognize that our work extends beyond the collection of taxes and trade facilitation. Your role in strengthening border control against illegal drugs and the exportation of prohibited items is equally vital, and we are counting on you to uphold this mission,” the customs chief stressed.

Echoing Nepomuceno’s call for excellence, Deputy Commissioner PBGen Nolasco Bathan (Ret.) and other key EG officials welcomed the trainees, highlighting the program’s role in equipping future customs operatives with crucial competencies that will enhance their operational readiness and play a pivotal role in fortifying border security and sustaining a resilient enforcement system.
