Following the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the Department of Education began distributing the year-end incentives for its personnel.
This includes the Service Recognition Incentive (SRI), Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI), Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) incentive for qualified personnel and gratuity pay for contract-based workers.
A total of one million DepEd employees nationwide will benefit from this incentive package.
Teachers and non-teaching personnel will receive P20,000 SRI and P5,000 PEI. Non-teaching staff will have an additional P10,000 CNA incentive, while Contract of Service and Job Order workers will receive up to P7,000 gratuity pay, depending on the length of service rendered.
In accordance with the guidelines set by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), DepEd will release the SRI in two tranches.
The first tranche will be given in December. The initial release will not be lower than P10,000 and up to P14,500 for each eligible employee. The remaining balance will be released after the request for modification of allotments is approved.
Included in those entitled to SRI are DepEd personnel with regular, contractual, and co-terminus appointments in the central, regional, division, and school offices.
DepEd will separately release the PEI for qualified personnel based on Executive Order No. 201. The PEI aims to help improve productivity in public service and will be added to other bonuses and incentives.
DepEd will also be giving gratuity pay for employees who are under Contract of Service and Job Order. They will be receiving P4,000 to P7,000, depending on the length of service rendered with the year. The Central Office and regional offices will have their own arrangements.
Apart from this, DepEd will also be giving P10,000 CNA incentive for qualified non-teaching personnel with regular, contractual, at co-terminus appointments. Although the fund is allotted for 2025, the release of CNA incentive is set in January 2026.
