DMW OFFICE TO RISE IN ILAGAN, ISABELA

Construction is underway for the new Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Provincial Office in City of Ilagan.

The office will serve as a dedicated center to provide enhanced services and support for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families across Isabela.

Mayor Josemarie Diaz announced during the groundbreaking ceremony at the City Civic Center, Barangay Alibagu, that the city government has granted a 1,000-square-meter lot to the DMW through a usufruct agreement to support the construction and operation of the provincial office.

The new office aims to improve access to programs such as welfare assistance, reintegration services, and employment facilitation for OFWs residing in Isabela.



The signing of the usufruct agreement was witnessed by Isabela Public Employment Service Office Manager Cecilia Claire Reyes, who conveyed Governor Rodito Albano’s strong support for the initiative.

The new office aims to improve access to programs such as welfare assistance, reintegration services, and employment facilitation for OFWs residing in the province.

DMW officials present included Undersecretary Bernard Olalia, Assistant Secretary Jerome Alcantara, and Regional Director Rogelio Martinez, while local government officials in attendance included Vice Mayor Jay Eveson Diaz and city council members.

The event coincided with a Local and Overseas Job Fair and Service Caravan, demonstrating the collaboration between the DMW, City Government of Ilagan, and PGI-PESO to support jobseekers and OFWs in the province.
