The Department of Transportation (DOTr), through the Land Transportation Office (DOTr), has permanently revoked the license of the truck driver involved in the fatal road crash along Batasan-San Mateo road in Quezon City recently.
Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon said the swift action is in line with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to uphold road safety for all motorists and passengers.
The truck driver tested positive for drugs.
Based on an LTO resolution, the truck driver’s license was revoked after he tested positive for drugs, in accordance with the Anti-Drunk and Drugged Driving Act and the Land Transportation and Traffic Code.
In addition to the license revocation, the driver has been permanently disqualified from obtaining any kind of driver’s license in the future.
