DPWH FINISHES LAKE SEBU ROAD NETWORK UPGRADES

Convenient and hassle-free travel is now enjoyed by sightseers heading to Lake Sebu with the newly-widened portion of Surallah-Lake Sebu-Maitum Road, a project implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in the province of South Cotabato.

The ₱51-million project covers the widening of a 1.21-kilometer road segment from two lanes to four lanes, with excavation works and drainage improvement.

In his report to Secretary Manuel Bonoan, DPWH Region 12 Director Basir Ibrahim emphasized that the road widening project supports the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s Build Better More Program of improving road quality and safety.

“Other than attracting more tourists, the project aligns with the Bagong Pilipinas vision of providing locals a faster and safer way to access basic social services in the town center.”
