The Games and Amusements Board (GAB) recognized the country’s legendary sports champions at the 2025 Dangal at Tagumpay ng GAB Awards, honoring outstanding achievements in Philippine professional sports.
The Dangal at Tagumpay Awards are bestowed upon exceptional professional athletes who have demonstrated remarkable performance, consistently upheld sports integrity, and made significant contributions to Filipino professional sports on both national and international stages.
Carlo Biado and Jonas Magpantay were recognized as 9-Ball Pool Player of the Year and 10-Ball Pool Player of the Year, respectively.
Current IBF World Minimumweight Champion Pedro Taduran was hailed as one of GAB’s Boxers of the Year, while Carlo Biado and Jonas Magpantay were recognized as 9-Ball Pool Player of the Year and 10-Ball Pool Player of the Year, respectively.
The awarding ceremony took place at the GAB Central Office. GAB Chairman Atty. Francisco Rivera, together with Commissioner for Administration Angel Bautista, led the awarding ceremony.
In his closing message, Rivera commended the awardees for tirelessly bringing honor to the country through their strength, discipline, and skill.
