Senator Kiko Pangilinan said that there will be no witness protection for the embattled Sarah and Curlee Discaya if their sworn statement that implicated several lawmakers and government officials in the anomalous flood control projects is “edited” or “photoshopped.”
This came after the couple, whose construction firms were awarded billions of pesos worth of infrastructure projects since 2016, only gave the names of those who purportedly solicited money from the ghost or substandard projects from 2022 onwards.
“Dapat ay the whole truth.
The revelation came during the recent Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing wherein the couple read a sworn statement and said they are ready to be state witnesses in the flood control mess.
The committee is currently conducting an investigation into the alleged anomalous flood control projects and other big-ticket contracts awarded by the Department of Public Works and Highways to several contractors, among them the Discayas’ many construction firms.
