All systems are ready for the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day in Manila’s public cemeteries.
Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso directed all frontline departments to ensure full government presence in the Manila North, South, and Islamic Cemeteries throughout “Undas”.
During the city government’s directional meeting, Domagoso instructed city personnel to remain visible and responsive on the ground, emphasizing the need for continuous assistance, crowd management, and public safety operations.
“Vending inside cemeteries is strictly prohibited,”
The mayor also reiterated that vending inside cemeteries is strictly prohibited.
Only authorized vendors may operate in designated areas outside the gates — a measure intended to ease congestion and preserve the solemn atmosphere of the burial grounds.
“I have tasked the Manila Department of Social Welfare to assist parents and guardians in cases of lost or missing children.”
He further tasked the Manila Department of Social Welfare (MDSW) to assist parents and guardians in cases of lost or missing children.
Social workers will be stationed at information desks and command posts to help reunite families and provide support to vulnerable visitors, including senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
Domagoso also ordered round-the-clock coordination among the Manila Police District (MPD), Department of Public Services (DPS), and Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB) to ensure public safety, sanitation, and smooth traffic flow.
