Marking the start of the new year, Bureau of Customs (BOC) Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno renewed his call for integrity-driven leadership and reform.
Nepomuceno made the call during the BOC’s first Flag Raising Ceremony for 2026, highlighting the collective role of personnel in advancing institutional transformation.
“Integrity remains the foundation of the Bureau of Customs,” the BOC chief said.
“While we continue to pursue reforms, we will also ensure that employee welfare is prioritized.”
“While we continue to pursue reforms, we will also ensure that employee welfare is prioritized, that dedication and competence are properly recognized, and that contributions to the Bureau are met with fair and merit-based opportunities,” the Commissioner emphasized in his address.
Looking ahead, Nepomuceno reaffirmed his commitment to advancing the reform agenda of the new administration, aligned with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s call for good governance, as the Bureau moves forward into the year with renewed focus and purpose.
