New Iloilo City Mayor Raisa Treñas will continue the “open-door policy” of the previous administration of her father, former Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas.
The lady mayor vowed to do this as she began her first day of office.
“Kun ano man inyo kinahanglan, just like the previous administration, the Office of the City Mayor will have an open-door policy,” Treñas said.
She emphasized that residents would not need an appointment.
“As long as I’m here, I will accommodate all their concerns for the city.”

On her first day in office, she signed three executive orders.
These are the reconstitution of the Iloilo City Drainage Task Force, the Task Force Anti-Squatting and Illegal Structures, and the Task Force on Moral Values.
Treñas also received two generous donations from private sector partners in support of the city’s programs and services.
One unit van was formally turned over to the City Government by executives from Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation and Sojitz Fuso Iloilo.
Isuzu Iloilo also donated 20 trash bins during Monday’s flag-raising ceremony—demonstrating a continued commitment to strong public-private-people partnerships for a cleaner and more livable Iloilo City.
