NOGRALES TO POLL BETS: DON’T INTIMIDATE VOTERS

As election day draws near, a re-electionist lawmaker appealed to fellow candidates to avoid tactics such as intimidation and outright violence, especially those committed against the voting public.

“There has to be a better way of doing things. Fidel Nograles said.

Nograles vowed that should he be re-elected, he will prioritize voter education to strengthen democratic processes in Montalban

Nograles lamented that many voters in his district are being harrassed for showing their support for his candidacy.

Taliwas ito sa demokrasiyang ipinaglalaban natin,” the solon said.

Nograles also urged voters not to give in to fear.

The lawmaker also vowed that should he be re-elected, he will prioritize voter education to strengthen democratic processes in Montalban.

“We need the people to understand their rights, so we can demand more accountability from public servants. Ultimately, having a voting public aware of its rights and their power to hold others accountable will result in better public services and a more evolved system of governance,” said Nograles.
