The House of Representatives under the leadership of Speaker Bojie Dy marked the adjournment of session with the passage of vital measures, notably of which is House Bill No. 4058 or the FY 2026 General Appropriations Bill.
In his adjournment speech, Dy underscored that the proposed P6.793-trillion national budget for 2026, which was scrutinized by the House carefully, thoroughly, and more openly, affirms the bigger Chamber’s resolve to be more transparent, accountable, and service-oriented.
“Maaaring hindi perpekto ang ating badyet, ngunit ito ay malinaw na simula ng bagong yugto sa ating paglilingkod.”

The seasoned lawmaker thanked members of the Committee on Appropriations led by chairperson Mikaela Angela Suansing for working until the wee hours to pass the budget on time.
The Speaker lauded his fellow lawmakers both from the majority and minority blocs for their collaboration in crafting meaningful and impactful pieces of legislation that will truly address the urgent needs of the people and help realize the Bagong Pilipinas vision of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

He also thanked the House Secretariat employees, security personnel, and maintenance staff for their dedication and hard work.
“At sa ating Secretariat, mga kawani, sa ating mga gwardiya, at maintenance personnel—maraming salamat po. Kayo ang haligi ng Kamara. Sa bawat batas na ating naipasa, sa bawat sesyong inabot ng hatinggabi, nariyan ang inyong sakripisyo, dedikasyon, at pagmamahal sa serbisyo publiko.” Dy stressed.
The House will resume its session on 10 November 2025.
