“Elizabeth Seton School has been a loyal ally of the PRC for 30 years. The Dugtong Buhay initiative has been very successful because of the strong leadership of Dr. Josefina Suarez, a Doña Aurora Aragon Quezon Medal awardee,” the PRC chief said.

“Dr. Suarez’s life is deeply rooted in compassion and service. Through her life-changing advocacy, she unified the entire Setonian community towards pursuing the spirit of volunteerism and humanitarian action. I also would like to thank all the blood donors for their kusang-loob, malasakit, at kapwa-tao. Together, we can save more lives,” he added.

“Kung umabot ako ng 11th year, I can still go further.”

“I am committed to the Red Cross. Kung umabot ako ng 11th year, I can still go further. Lagi kong inuulit-ulit sa Red Cross, you have my loyalty and my commitment that I am going to pursue this. Hangga’t may lakas ako at kaya ko, tuloy-tuloy ito,” Suarez stated.

“The Dugtong Buhay blood donation drive began in October 1995. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, our previous blood drives brought in 4,000 to 6,000 bags annually, with each campus in Las Piñas and Cavite contributing 1,000 to 1,500 bags. Dugtong Buhay has achieved one of the largest single blood donations ever recorded to the PRC,” PRC Secretary-General Dr. Gwen Pang explained.
