Senate President Tito Sotto led the launch of the redesigned website of the Senate of the Philippines, an initiative aimed at further strengthening the bridge between the vital work of the chamber and the citizens it serves.
“Today we are launching a new Senate website that strengthens the commitments we made as a democratic institution. Notably the freedom of information, ease of access, transparency, and accountability to the Filipino people,” Sotto said during the event, which was also attended by Senate President Pro Tempore Senator Ping” Lacson, Sen. Win Gatchalian, and Senate officials and staff.

The revamped site features a clean, modern, and mobile-friendly interface. It allows the public to easily track legislation, committee work, and the performance of every senator, including budget details.
“This is what freedom of information looks like in practice — giving the citizens direct and convenient access to the work of their representatives.”

The original Senate website was launched in 2001 during the Chamber’s 85th anniversary.
Sotto thanked those who worked on the project namely the office of the Senate Secretary, the Electronic Data Processing – Management Information System (EDP-MIS Bureau and Public Relations and Information Bureau and the Social Media Unit.
