THE RESURRECTION OF BAM AQUINO

He won. He lost. He skipped. He won, again, in one surprising turnaround.

In 2013, Bam Aquino was elected as senator of the Republic of the Philippines, landing in 7th place.

In 2019, Bam Aquino failed to get reelected for a second term, losing at 14th place.

In 2022, Bam Aquino skipped the senatorial elections, taking a sabbatical of sorts, and lived to fight another day.

In 2025, Bam Aquino, despite lagging in all pre-election survey results, did not only win but almost topped the senate race, landing in 2nd place.

“Bam Aquino, despite lagging in all pre-election survey results, did not only win but almost topped the senate race, landing in 2nd place.”

This article will study how it happened or, more particularly, where it happened.

ALWAYS OUTSIDE, NEVER INSIDE

Bam Aquino never entered the winner’s circle in all pre-election surveys from 2023-2025.

He was rank number 13 in 2023. He averaged in rank number 21 in 2024. He averaged in rank number 15 in 2025. He never made it to the top 12. Not even once.

AMAZING

For Bam Aquino, it was one amazing race, and an even more amazing finish, especially coming from outside the winner’s circle in all pre-election surveys from 2023-2025.

When the dust from all the election fireworks finally settled, he surprisingly landed all the way up to the upper portion of the list at 2nd place.

Imagine losing in only one out of the 38 provinces of Luzon. Abra.

Imagine losing in only one out of the 16 provinces of Visayas. Samar.

Imagine losing in only one out of the seven independent cities of Mindanao. Davao.

Imagine winning in all the areas, and at 1st place or 2nd place at that, of NCR.

This is the story of the resurrection of Bam Aquino: winning in 100% of NCR; winning in 97% of all provinces in Luzon; winning in 95% of independent cities nationwide; winning in 94% of all provinces in Visayas; winning in 29% of all provinces in Mindanao; winning an amazing race, completing one surprising turnaround.
