VEHICLE OWNERS IN QUEZON, CAVITE CRASHES SUMMONED

The Department of Transportation (DOTr), through the Land Transportation Office (LTO), has issued show cause orders against the owners of vehicles involved in road crash incidents in Quezon and Cavite.

This swift action follows the President’s directives to ensure enhanced road safety measures for motorists and passengers.

The LTO summoned the owner of truck in the deadly multiple-vehicle collision in Atimonan, Quezon on May 16.

“The driver of the truck lost control of the vehicle while it was traversing Maharlika Highway.”

Based on initial reports, the driver of the said truck lost control of the vehicle while it was traversing Maharlika Highway, which resulted in its collision with two other vehicles. The truck driver was pronounced dead after the incident.

The LTO likewise summoned the owner and driver of the sedan which hit pedestrians and other vehicles in Noveleta, Cavite.

The female driver claimed she lost consciousness while driving the vehicle.

The female driver, who claimed she lost consciousness while driving the vehicle, was also suspended from driving for 90 days.

Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon reiterated his stern warning that the DOTr will continue to go after driver and operators who compromise the safety of passengers by automatically suspending their licenses pending investigation.
