VILMA, RALPH RECTO ENDORSE TULFO’S SENATE BID

Erwin Tulfo sealed another significant endorsement from Batangas leaders led by Department of Finance Secretary and former Senator Ralph Recto and former governor Vilma Santos-Recto, for his good track record in helping Batangas and entire Region IV-A, during his tenure as Secretary of Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Recto shared that during his stint as Batangas District 6 Representative, Tulfo played a pivotal role in bringing social services closer to Batangueños and nearby areas, by setting up the DSWD Field Office IV-A in Lipa City.

It can be recalled that in 2022, Recto thanked Tulfo not only for the mentioned field office, but also for being an effective leader of the DSWD.

“Even before a calamity strikes, it is already prepared to help Filipinos.”

“The DSWD is one of the most important agencies in the government. It has been helping more than half of the population of the Philippines… It can be likened to a logistics operator because it is the first to respond during crises—even before a calamity strikes, it is already prepared to help Filipinos. All of this is being led by Sec. Erwin Tulfo,” Recto said in Filipino.

Meanwhile, in the recently held Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas sortie in Batangas City, Santos-Recto, who is making her gubernatorial comeback in the province, gave her full-blown support to the entire slate.

“To our respected senators, my best wishes on your future endeavors.”

“To our respected senators, my best wishes on your future endeavors. It is certain that you will get in—that’s Alyansa,” said Santos-Recto in mixed English Filipino.

Tulfo thanked the massive trust and support of those who lead Batangas which has 1.95 million registered voters for the upcoming 2025 Midterm Elections on May 12.
