“Cagayan de Oro has gone a long way in terms of modernizing the efficiency of maritime transportation. Nalipay ko ani nga balita kay dako kini nga tabang sa among dakbayan sa Cagayan de Oro,” Pimentel said.

The passenger terminal building situated in the busiest port in Northern Mindanao will be equipped with X-ray scanners, body scanners, security cameras, passenger boarding stations, assistance desks, green areas, a play area and a child care station.

“The new terminal building can handle 3,000 passengers daily.”

“According to DOTr, the new terminal building can handle 3,000 passengers daily. Nag-triple yung capacity from the former capacity na 1,000 passengers daily. Definitely, malaking tulong itong two-storey terminal building to improve our national competitiveness in maritime transportation,” the legislator added.
