10-STOREY SCHOOL BUILDING OPENS IN MANILA

The Manila City government formally opened the newly renovated 10-storey Rosauro Almario Elementary School (RAES) located in Tondo, Manila.

Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna led the inauguration of the 227 air conditioned classrooms and 12 air conditioned offices recently.

About 8,000 students, or 35 students per classroom, can be catered.

According to Lacuna, the move to expand the capacity of the educational institution was part of the city’s effort in supporting more students to attain the big goals and aspirations in life.

Students will have its new library, canteen, auditorium, gymnasium, two outdoor basketball courts with retractable goal convertible to football field.

Former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno also joined the ribbon cutting ceremony of the institution among other city government officials.
