2 PANGASINAN QUARANTINE FACILITIES READY – VILLAR

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the conversion of two buildings into quarantine facilities to be used by coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patients in Burgos and Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan.

Based on a report from DPWH Region 1 Director RonnelTan, DPWH Secretary and isolation czar Mark Villar announced that the repurposing of Pangasinan Reformation Center in the Municipality of Burgos and the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAG) Building into isolation facilities has been completed.

“DPWH will continue to build and convert existing government buildings nationwide to meet the demand for isolation facilities as we combat the pandemic.”

The recently inaugurated Ligtas COVID-19 Center facility in Burgos has 25-bed capacity and one nurse station for a total project cost of P2.25 million while the converted OPAG unit in Sta. Barbara has a capacity of 40 beds and one nurse station amounting to P2.1 million.

“DPWH will continue to build and convert existing government buildings nationwide to meet the demand for isolation facilities as we combat the pandemic,” Villar stressed.
