“The launching of the modern units is a manifestation that the cooperative is one with the government in the implementation of the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP),” Talipasan explained.
City Mayor Arthur Robes lauded the members of the SPGTSC for their initiative to ensure reliable and safe public transportation in the city.
The SPGTSC is the eighth transport cooperative in the City of San Jose del Monte to comply with the government’s transport modernization program.
The PUVMP is the flagship transport project of the Duterte administration being implemented through the Department of Transportation (DOTr).
It aims to make public transportation safer and more comfortable, and to lessen the environmental pollution caused by worn-out and smoke-belching utility vehicles.
