3 QUARANTINE FACILITIES READY IN PASAY – VILLAR

Three isolation facilities for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patients were recently completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways in Pasay City.

DPWH Secretary Mark Villar and Isolation Czar said that three facilities are: the WMall Quarantine Facility with 160-bed capacity; the Folk Arts Theater with 20-unit rooms; and the Pasay City Sports Complex Quarantine Facility with 62 cubicles, one nurse station, one working area, and an X-ray room.

According to Villar, the makeshift hospital is based on the design standard prepared by the DPWH Task Force to Facilitate Augmentation of Local and National Health Facilities.

All rooms are fully-air conditioned with their own toilets.

By the third week of November, DPWH South Manila District Engineering Office aims to finish the conversion of container vans into a 72-bed capacity quarantine facility inside the Villamor Air Base.
