Just like in the 18th Congress, Go continues to chair the Senate Committees on Health and on Sports.

During the 18th Congress, he co-authored various landmark laws, including the Malasakit Centers Act of 2019.

While serving as the then Special Assistant to the President of the Duterte Administration, Go spearheaded the launch of the Malasakit Centers Program which put under one roof various government agencies that provide medical assistance to poor and indigent patients, such as the Department of Health, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation and Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.

HIs brainchild program continues to make it convenient and fast for financially incapacitated Filipinos to reduce their hospital bills to the lowest amount possible. It now has 153 Malasakit Centers in all regions nationwide and has benefitted more than four million Filipinos so far.

Go was also responsible for shepherding the passage of various hospital bills that either expanded existing government hospitals or established new ones, further strengthening the country’s healthcare system.

In a similar survey conducted during the same period by OCTA Research on the performance of the national government, 73% of adult Filipinos expressed their satisfaction with the national government being able to provide quality and affordable healthcare.
