To expand the market access for the locally produced carabao milk and dairy products of our livestock raisers, the Department of Agriculture (DA) officially opened its newest Dairy Box outlet at the DA-Agribusiness Development Center (ADC) Building inside the DA compound in Quezon City.
DA Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr., Assistant Secretary for Agribusiness, Marketing, and Consumer Affairs Genevieve Velicaria-Guevarra, Philippine Carabao Center (PCC) Executive Director Dr. Liza Battad, and Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Service (AMAS) Director Junibert De Sagun led the ribbon-cutting ceremony and blessing of the new outlet.
In his message, Tiu Laurel congratulated the partners behind the initiative and underscored the importance of strengthening the country’s local dairy industry, particularly by increasing domestic milk production to help meet growing consumer demand.
Meanwhile, Velicaria-Guevarra highlighted the DA’s partnership with PCC, recalling the signing of a memorandum of agreement (MOA) last year to integrate PCC Dairy Box outlets into the KADIWA ng Pangulo program.

Battad, meanwhile, thanked the Department of Agriculture Multi-Purpose Cooperative (DAMC) for providing a mainstream market platform that allows dairy entrepreneurs to reach more consumers and demonstrate the potential of the local dairy industry.
Also present during the opening were DAMC Chairperson Lemuel Alagon and General Trias Dairy Raisers Multi-Purpose Cooperative General Manager Desiree Paras, along with other representatives of partner agencies and cooperatives.
Dairy Box offers a range of carabao milk products and snacks, including fresh carabao milk, pastillas, ice candy, cheese, and chicha-rabao (carabao chicharon).

The DA-ADC outlet is the 98th Dairy Box established under the PCC initiative, which began with the opening of its first outlet in 2015.
