Twenty farmers and fisherfolk cooperatives and associations (FFCAs) received tools and equipment from the Provincial Government of Isabela through the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist on April 8 at the Capitol Compound.
The beneficiaries included members of the high-value commercial crops (HVCC) sector, fishery groups, rural-based organizations, and rice farmers.
The distributed tools and equipment are intended to support their production, processing, and value-adding activities, helping improve productivity and create more income opportunities.
“Basta hindi kayo madedehado.”
Governor Rodito Albano, who led the activity, underscored the provincial government’s policy of eliminating middlemen and directly purchasing agricultural produce to ensure fair pricing and stable income for farmers.
