MMDA: SMOOTH TRAFFIC FOR JUNE 12 EDSA MARATHON

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority ensures smooth and orderly vehicular traffic flow as Runrio Manila Marathon is set to conduct its 42-kilometer race category along EDSA as its main race route starting 11:30pm of June 12.

According to MMDA Chairman Atty. Don Artes, the running event is aimed as part of the tourism package and to put the running event in the forefront of the country’s sports tourism.

“We will also put a buffer lane, adjacent to the EDSA bus carousel lane, to ensure the safety of the runners during the event.”

Artes also said the MMDA will make sure that there’ll be minimal potential traffic disruption as he underscores that there will be remaining lanes which can still be used.

“We will also put a buffer lane, adjacent to the EDSA bus carousel lane, to ensure the safety of the runners during the event,” he said.

“The marathon honors Philippine Independence and will showcase the Filipino spirit of freedom, resilience, and bayanihan.”

Coach Rio dela Cruz of Runrio said that the marathon honors Philippine Independence and will showcase the Filipino spirit of freedom, resilience, and bayanihan.
