The Senate adopted Senate Resolution No. 394 congratulating the Philippine National Barebow Archery Team for winning multiple medals at the Asia Barebow Championships 2026 in Shah Alam, Malaysia.
The National Barebow Team bested more than 700 archers from different countries and brought home a gold medal and two bronze medals in their debut event.
“The win is an inspiration to many and urged the public to continually support Filipino athletes who compete and represent the country on the world stage.”

“May they serve as inspiration to every Filipino to dream big, work hard, and with all their heart, fight for our flag wherever they are in the world,” Padilla said in Filipino.
Rowena Galicano, Josephine Galicano, and Ma. Razel Rechilda Abella won the gold in the women’s competition beating the host nation, Malaysia.
Meanwhile, Elizer Junior Villarosa, Joseph Tan, and Kenneth Marlowe Tan won the bronze medal in the men’s competition.
Villarosa and Josephine Galicano also added another bronze in the mixed team event.
