Isabela Governor Rodito Albano met with Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Botswana to Japan, Professor Boga Thura Manatsha, at the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Japan to discuss potential investment and development partnerships between Isabela and Botswana.
During the meeting, Manatsha and his delegation presented Botswana’s National Development Plan 12 (NDP 12) and the Botswana Economic Transformation Programme (BETP), highlighting key investment and business opportunities in the country.
Collaboration and capacity-building initiatives, particularly in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), were among the key areas discussed, aimed at enhancing skills development and strengthening workforce competitiveness.
“We also discussed the potential export of Botswana beef.”
The potential export of Botswana beef was also a key area of discussion, with Albano providing valuable insights and guidance on possible pathways to facilitate market access and strengthen trade within the broader agricultural sector.
The governor also invited Manatsha to visit Isabela to gain firsthand insight into the province’s agricultural landscape and its role in national food production, as well as to examine challenges posed by climate variability and identify areas of mutual interest for collaboration in agricultural development, climate resilience, food security, and related sectors.
