Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso announced the release of P688,901,100 in benefits covering 359,295 beneficiaries across multiple sectors, during his “Talk to the People” Facebook livestream.
The funds, confirmed by the City Treasurer’s Office under Atty. Paul Vega, cover three programs: P158,757,600 from funded ordinances for 40,250 beneficiaries to be released July 8 to 11; P452,353,500 in monetary allowances for 293,655 beneficiaries to be released July 22 to 24; and P77,790,000 in Social Pension from the Department of Social Welfare and Development for 25,930 senior citizens, also on July 22 to 24.
“Nilalaan po namin ay humigit-kumulang 688 million, 900 thousand na ire-release ngayong 7 ng July,” Domagoso said, noting that P611,111,100 comes from city government funds while the remaining P77,790,000 is from the national government through DSWD.
4,447 Manila Police District personnel will receive P2,500 per month from April to June.
Under the funded ordinance program, 4,447 Manila Police District personnel will receive P2,500 per month from April to June amounting to P33,305,000, while 358 Bureau of Fire Protection and 431 Bureau of Jail Management and Penology personnel will likewise receive P2,500 per month for the same period.
A total of 12,466 teachers will receive a P2,000 monthly incentive for April to June amounting to P69,237,841.54, while 5,524 Grade 12 students under DepEd Manila will receive P500 for the month of June amounting to P2,762,000.
Students from the city government’s two universities will also benefit: 9,155 Universidad de Manila students will receive P1,000 each for April and May amounting to P18,310,000, while 7,869 Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila students will receive the same amount totaling P15,738,000 — with EARIST receiving two quarterly subsidies of P6,803,135 each.
Under the monetary allowance program, 11,515 minor PWDs and 51,766 adult PWDs will each receive P500 per month for April to June, while 17,281 solo parents will receive the same amount, with all releases scheduled for July 22 to 24.
The city’s 212,553 senior citizens will receive P500 per month for April to June totaling P331,445,000, while 25,930 of them who are registered with DSWD will receive an additional P1,000 per month for the same period from the national government’s Social Pension program — effectively receiving two sets of benefits.
“Sa Lungsod ng Maynila na nakapaloob sa programang itinaguyod natin, isinimulan natin, at patuloy nating pinatutupad na kung saan walang distinction — mahirap, middle class, at mayaman.”

The mayor reminded Manileños to watch for the scheduled release dates and asked the public to share the broadcast so that all beneficiaries would be properly informed, adding that the city government is committed to spending taxpayer money responsibly and efficiently.
“Pipilitin nating laging maging mainam, sinop, at episyenteng gastahin ang mga taxpayer’s money na ipinagkatiwala sa atin ng mga kababayan natin,” Domagoso concluded.
