Senator Bong Go lauded the turnover of the Super Health Center in Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat underscoring the importance of bringing basic healthcare services closer to communities, particularly those located far from major hospitals.
Go commended the local government of Kalamansig, led by Mayor Ronan Garcia, as well as health officials, medical workers, and other partners who helped make the facility available to residents.
Also present during the turnover was Sultan Kudarat Governor Datu Pax Ali Mangudadatu.
For the veteran legislator, strengthening primary healthcare facilities in municipalities is essential in ensuring that Filipinos can obtain medical attention without having to travel long distances or wait for their conditions to become more serious.

“Ang layunin natin ay mailapit ang serbisyong medikal sa ating mga kababayan. Kung may health facility na malapit sa kanilang komunidad, mas mabilis silang makapagpapatingin at mas maagapan ang kanilang karamdaman,” the seasoned lawmaker said.
Super Health Centers are designed to focus on primary care, consultation, and early disease detection, further strengthening the healthcare sector in the country, especially in grassroots communities.
Free consultations would be handled by municipal health offices, local government units, and the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation through its Konsulta program.
Through the concerted efforts of Go, fellow lawmakers, the Department of Health, and local government units, adequate funding was allocated for establishing more than 700 Super Health Centers nationwide.
Just days earlier, the senator personally attended the inauguration of another Super Health Center in Magpet, Cotabato. Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat are neighboring provinces, highlighting the continuing expansion of community-based healthcare facilities across nearby areas in Mindanao.
Go stressed that the construction and turnover of healthcare facilities must ultimately translate into reliable services that residents can depend on.

“Hindi lang po gusali ang mahalaga. Kailangan nating tiyakin na may sapat na health workers, kagamitan, gamot, at serbisyong maaasahan ng ating mga kababayan,” he said.
Go expressed hope that the Kalamansig Super Health Center would contribute to the municipality’s continuing efforts to improve healthcare delivery and provide residents with more accessible medical services.
“Patuloy nating susuportahan ang mga programang nagpapalakas sa ating healthcare system. Ang importante, kapag nangangailangan ng tulong ang isang Pilipino, may serbisyong malalapitan niya,” he concluded.
