NET25’S KADA UMAGA AMPS UP THE ENTERTAINMENT AS VIEWERSHIP RISES

Kada Umaga, media powerhouse NET25’s highly rated morning show, has been riding on a viewership high with a marked and steady increase in engagement especially with its Internet audience.

“Beauty and brains” hosts Pia Guanio-Mago, Daiana Menezes and Luane Dy-Gonzalez have settled into their roles as purveyors of information and entertainment. Their natural verve and chemistry make Kada Umaga fun.

The show has retained its effective format of first updating the audience with the latest on current events, trends and viral issues ranging from show business, technology and lifestyle.

Pia, Daiana and Luane inject their chika with girlie chats on hairstyle and fashion, making their exchanges natural and not at all contrived. In the words of Gen Z, not fake and “performative”.

A succession of chika and interview sessions with resource persons ensues.

For its most recent episode in the last week of August 2026, for instance, the trio paid tribute to the role of women in entertainment, relating the issue to the recent passing of American entertainment icon Dolly Parton. They also interviewed Eighties Pinoy music sensation Ivy Violan, who has remained regal-looking and has retained her sultry singing voice.

In another episode, the three women interviewed a guest psychologist who discussed the benefits and downsides of Filipinos’ resilience in the face of hardships, detailing what is currently called “toxic resiliency”.

One other segment featured perennial TV “kontrabida” Gladys Reyes, who has graduated from villain roles to real-life entrepreneurship.

There’s always something new and entertaining in Kada Umaga — whether it’s a demonstration of low-impact home exercises meant to address low blood sugar, young people sharing the challenges of solo living and lessening dependence on their families, or Pinoy rap and R&B artists who break new ground and extend music boundaries with talent and emotion.

The show is racking up tens of thousands of views daily on the NET25 YouTube channel and is gaining “return” viewers who can’t get enough of Kada Umaga’s winning formula of form with substance.

Kada Umaga upward viewership and engagement trajectory is good news to NET25, which has been all-out in promoting itself as the “alternative mainstream” in Philippine broadcasting.
