The mayors of Laguna gathered at the Provincial Capitol recently to express their wholehearted, unified support for Governor Sol Aragones as she stressed that she never stole and will never steal people’s money.
Led by League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) – Laguna Chapter President and Rizal Mayor Vener Muñoz, the mayors stood together to convey their trust, gratitude, and confidence in the leadership of Aragones and the entire Provincial Government.
“The League of Municipalities of the Philippines stands with you, Gov. Sol.”
“Ang League of Mayors ng Laguna ay lubos na sumusuporta,” the mayor said. “Kahit hindi lahat ay naririto ngayon, kinakatawan ko ang lahat — the LMP stands with you, Gov. Sol.”
Following Muñoz’s message, each mayor in attendance took the floor to share their own words of support:

The mayors also voiced their collective solidarity in the face of ongoing smear campaigns, the spread of false information, and political attacks directed at the Governor.
In her response, Aragones thanked the mayors for their unwavering trust.
“Maraming salamat sa inyong lahat,” she said. “Malayo na ang ating narating. Marami akong pinagdaanan — mula noong una akong tumakbo, sa bawat hamon, hanggang sa makatayo tayo rito ngayon. Salamat sa pagsama sa Gobyernong May Solusyon, at sa pagmamahal ninyo sa inyong mga bayan at lungsod tulad ng pagmamahal natin sa ating lalawigan.”
“Hangga’t ito ay para sa Laguna at sa kanyang mga mamamayan, ibibigay natin ang ating buong makakaya.”
“Hindi tayo perpekto,” she admitted. “Ang tunay na pagbabago ay hindi nangyayari sa isang gabi. Ngunit ginagawa natin ang lahat — kahit na ito ay nangangailangan ng panahon — hangga’t ito ay para sa Laguna at sa kanyang mga mamamayan, ibibigay natin ang ating buong makakaya.”
Aragones also stressed the promise she made to her family and the province.
“Hindi ako nagnakaw at hindi kaylan man magnanakaw ng pera ng bayan. Hindi ako magnanakaw!” she concluded.
