ABACA-UPLB IS BACK WITH THEIR ABACALUSUGAN PROJECT: SAB-ON THE WAY TO CLEANLINESS

LOS BAÑOS, LAGUNA – Ahon Batang CALABARZON (ABACA-UPLB), in partnership with UNICEF Philippines and the Department of Health (DOH), is back with their WASH O’Clock Campaign. Now called ABACALUSGAN: Sab-On The Way to Cleanliness, which will be held at Maahas Elementary School in Los Banos, Laguna, on November 24, 2023, where students will be taught how to create soaps and learn about the importance of hand hygiene. Hygiene kits will also be handed out during the event.

The workshop, part of UNICEF Philippines and DOH’s ongoing efforts, aligns with their mission to empower youth organizations like ABACA-UPLB in safeguarding Filipino children’s rights. The campaign promotes handwashing habits and will distribute hygiene kits, including alcohol and soap.

About the Sab-On The Way To Cleanliness

DOH and UNICEF launched the WASH O’Clock campaign to promote proper hand hygiene in Filipino communities. As part of this initiative, ABACA-UPLB, receiving fifteen soap kits from UNICEF, will conduct the Sab-On The Way To Cleanliness workshop at Maahas Elementary School. The campaign involves installing signage and public handwashing stations in various locations to encourage handwashing during key moments.
