ABF CHAMP ATENCIO PRESENTS TITLE BELT TO GAB

Newly crowned Asian Boxing Federation (ABF) Champion Leboy Atencio, together with his team, proudly presented his hard-earned title belt to Games and Amusements Board (GAB) Chairman Atty. Francisco Rivera during a courtesy visit at the GAB Central Office in Makati City.

Also present were BOCS Division Chief Rodil Manaog and Assistant Chief Kenner So, who joined in recognizing Atencio’s achievement and his dedication to representing the Philippines on the international stage.

The meeting underscored the preparation and discipline of Atencio’s camp as they aim for higher rankings and championship opportunities.

“We safeguard Filipino boxers competing abroad through strict screening, medical evaluations, formal authorizations, and close coordination with foreign boxing commissions.”

Rivera also reaffirmed GAB’s commitment to safeguarding Filipino boxers competing abroad through strict screening, medical evaluations, formal authorizations, and close coordination with foreign boxing commissions.

Pride of Northern Samar, Atencio, is set to carry the Philippine flag once more as he challenges Chinese boxer Liu Wensong for the World Boxing Council (WBC) Far East Featherweight Title on May 15, 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand.
