ATAYDE: PRIORITIZE ‘AYUDA’ IN QCD1 AMID COVID-19

With the country tallying a record-high 33,169 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, Quezon City District 1 (QCD1) congressional candidate Arjo Atayde on Tuesday urged his supporters to focus on providing assistance for QCD1 households in lieu of holding meetings and activities meant to rally support for his campaign.

“As of January 9, there are already 3,802 active COVID cases in the district, more than triple the 1,172 cases on January 5. From 5,607 total cases in Quezon City on January 5, now there are 20,402 total cases in the city,” pointed out Atayde.

“We want to do our share to help.

“For the safety and health of everyone in District 1, I’ve asked my supporters to prioritize the distribution of assistance to families in the district and to not hold gatherings while cases are rising,” said Atayde.

Politics can wait, our people cannot.”

Atayde revealed that barangay community organizers and members of the Cong. Arjo Tayo Movement has spearheaded and organized an Oplan Ayuda Drive that on Monday began distributing aid packs to hundreds of QCD1 households with the assistance of QCD1 barangay officials.

Included in the packs are essentials like rice, vitamins, alcohol, and face masks.

“We want to do our share to help.
