Bohol continues to strengthen security measures to ensure safe learning environments across educational institutions.
This was after the Provincial Government of Bohol, under the leadership of Governor Aris Aumentado, directed the Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO), led by Provincial Director PCol. Patricio Degay, Jr., to heighten school security following a shooting incident at a high school in Zamboanga City.
Under the directive, the police force will expand surveillance across schools in Bohol and strengthen coordination with school authorities to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and personnel.
“Proactive measures must be implemented immediately to protect school communities.”
Aumentado emphasized that the safety of the youth is a primary responsibility, stressing that proactive measures must be implemented immediately to protect school communities.
This initiative reinforces the Strategic Governance Roadmap of the provincial government and supports the Sustainable Development Goals of the Bohol Island UNESCO Global Geopark.
