BASTE DUTERTE VOWS TO SUSTAIN DAVAO CITY DEV’T

Mayor-elect Baste Duterte vowed to continue protecting the well-being of Dabawenyos as he took his oath at the Sangguniang Panlungsod in Davao City.

In his speech, Duterte also assured the effective and full implementation of the laws of the city for the welfare of the Dabawenyos.

“My mandate is clear, to protect and promote the welfare of the general public, and I will do everything I can within the boundaries of the law to deliver this mandate,” the mayor-elect said.

The Presidential son also assured that businesses in the city will continue to thrive, job opportunities would be available, and that Dabawenyos will remain safe and healthy.

“To our partners from the business community, the local government is open and ready to listen to your suggestions and to work with you in enhancing the business climate in the city,” he said.

Duterte said red tape and “fixing” must end and urged Dabawenyos to report them to the authorities.

Meanwhile, Duterte said the Davao City government will also continue to implement policies streamlining government processes.

President Rodrigo Duterte and Vice President-elect Sara Duterte witnessed the oath-taking.

“Thank you for taking the chance of serving our kababayans with confidence, honesty, and integrity,” President Duterte told local officials who took part in the May 9 elections.
