Senator Bong Go’s office extended assistance to recovering fire victims from Tangos North, NBBS-Dagat-Dagatan, and San Jose in Navotas City during a relief initiative recently.
“Sa mga nangyayari rin po ngayon, kaguluhan sa daigdig, kaguluhan sa ating bansa, ako po’y nananawagan na tayo’y magkaisa para makapagserbisyo na tayo sa ating mga kababayan. Kapag ang gulo po ng pulitika, ang nasasakripisyo po ang pagserbisyo po sa inyong lahat mga kababayan ko. Kaya nananawagan po ako sa lahat na tayo po ay magkaisa,” Go said in a message.
“Kapag ang gulo po ng pulitika, ang nasasakripisyo po ang pagserbisyo po sa inyong lahat mga kababayan ko.”
The veteran legislator also emphasized that he has dedicated his life to public service, particularly for poor Filipinos, and assured residents that he will continue doing his job and will not waste the trust given to him by the people.
“Wala akong ginawa sa buong buhay ko kundi magtrabaho at makapagserbisyo sa inyo lalung-lalo na po sa mga kababayan nating mahihirap,” the seasoned lawmaker added.
During the activity, held at Function Hall D, MP Building Phase 1B in Barangay NBBS Kaunlaran, Navotas City, 21 families received snacks, food packs, vitamins, shirts, and balls to the beneficiaries. Select beneficiaries also received shoes through a raffle.
The beneficiaries further received housing assistance from the government.
“Sa ilalim ng programang ito na ating isinulong, mabibigyan ang mga benepisyaryo ng tulong para pambili ng materyales tulad ng mga pako at yero na pampatayo muli ng kanilang mga nasirang bahay.”

He then cited the importance of strengthening government mechanisms for disaster response, housing support, and recovery assistance for affected families.
Go is the principal author and co-sponsor of Republic Act No. 12076, or the Ligtas Pinoy Centers Act, which mandates the establishment of permanent evacuation centers to provide safer shelter for Filipinos during disasters.
He has also filed several disaster-related measures, including Senate Bill No. 173, which seeks to establish the Department of Disaster Resilience; SBN 415, or the Rental Housing Subsidy bill, which aims to provide rental assistance to informal settlers and disaster victims; and SBN 669, or the proposed Hazard Pay for Disaster Personnel bill.
Go likewise underscored the ongoing modernization efforts of the Bureau of Fire Protection under RA 11589, or the BFP Modernization Act of 2021, which he principally authored and co-sponsored. The law mandates that the BFP develop and implement a fire protection modernization program, including the acquisition of modern fire equipment, expansion of manpower, and the provision of specialized training for firefighters.
“Umasa po kayo sa aking patuloy na pagseserbisyo po sa inyo at hinding-hindi ko sasayangin yung tiwalang ibinigay po ng 27 million sa akin sa bayang ito. Maraming-maraming salamat po sa inyo,” he said.
“Patuloy kaming magseserbisyo sa inyo dahil bisyo ko ang magserbisyo at ako ay naniniwala na ang serbisyo sa tao ay serbisyo ‘yan sa Panginoon, serbisyo ‘yan kay Allah,” underscored Go, who is known as Mr. Malasakit for his dedicated public service.
