CALOOCAN CITY COPS GET BODY CAMS, PATROL VEHICLES

A total of 30 new motorcycles and eight mobile patrol vehicles were procured by the City Government of Caloocan to strengthen patrol operations of both the Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS) and the Public Safety and Traffic Management Department (PSTMD).

Along with the new vehicles, PSTMD operatives likewise received more than 80 sets of body cameras to be used during daily traffic operations, especially in interactions and contact apprehensions of erring motorists.

Mayor Along Malapitan called on the city law enforcers to maximize the use of the new vehicles and equipment to ensure the safety of the general public, especially at night.

The mayor also expects that the proper use of body cameras in traffic duties will lead to more honest interactions between city traffic agents and motorists.
