The Quezon City Government was awarded an unprecedented sixth Unmodified Opinion by the Commission on Audit (COA).
The consecutive highest audit rating reinforces the Belmonte administration’s commitment to responsible governance and sound fiscal management.
An Unmodified Opinion signifies that the city’s financial statements fairly present its financial position and compliance with applicable government accounting and reporting standards. It reflects the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of the city’s financial records and transactions.
Mayor Joy Belmonte welcomed the recognition, emphasizing that the achievement reflects the city government’s steadfast dedication to protecting public resources and ensuring that every peso is used for programs and services that benefit QCitizens.
“Receiving this recognition for the sixth straight year reflects the discipline, professionalism, and integrity that guide the work of our city government every day,” Belmonte said.
