CSC TO MARK 123RD ANNIVERSARY IN SEPTEMBER

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) will kick off the month-long celebration of the 123rd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) by holding an Online Zumba session scheduled on the first day of September.

The event is open to all government officials, employees and their families, who are 18 years old or older.

The CSC Regional Office I is partnering with the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) to conduct this event.

Participants who register for the session will receive exclusive access to a curated selection of films throughout September via the FDCP channel at https://fdcpchannel.ph.

The film screening will showcase three movies such as “Edward” directed by Thop Nazareno, “Mañanita” directed by Paul Soriano, and “Retirada” directed by Cynthia Cruz-Paz and Milo Paz.

The Online Zumba session registration will be available August 1-25, and the participation fee for both individual and group registration is P250 per participant. Those interested to join can register at the provided link: https://tinyurl.com/CSCZumbaFilmShowing

Upon registration and payment, each individual or group participant will receive a voucher with code to access the Online Zumba session on the first day of September from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

All proceeds from the event will be directed to support the Pamanang Lingkod Bayani.

This program aims to pay tribute to government workers who lost their lives while performing their duties, providing their families with a one-time financial assistance and scholarship opportunities.

About the PCSA

The annual PCSA celebration commemorates the signing of Public Law No. 5 or An Act for the Establishment and Maintenance of an Efficient and Honest Civil Service in the Philippine Islands on 19 September 1900.

The celebration is also pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 1050, series of 1997 signed by the late President Fidel Valdez Ramos declaring the month of September as the Civil Service Month.

The PCSA has a 10-year overarching theme, Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes, which reflects the collective experience of the government workforce in the new normal, and in pushing for digital transformation and innovations to uphold public service excellence and continuity.

The 123rd PCSA has a variety of exciting activities scheduled, such as the 2023 Public Sector Human Resource Symposium, 2023 Awards Rites for Outstanding Government Workers, Government Online Career Fair, Plant-Run, Golf for a Cause, Bloodletting Activity, Virtual Recognition Program for Contact Center ng Bayan Partner Agencies, and PRIME HRM Awards.
