DAVAO OCCIDENTAL RTC BUILDING 50% FINISHED – DPWH

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is currently constructing a building in the Municipality of Malita, Davao Occidental that will serve as the new Regional Trial Court (RTC) in the province. 

In her report to DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan and Undersecretary for Operations in Davao Region Eugenio Pipo, Jr., DPWH Regional Office 11 OIC-Director Juby Cordon said that the building project located in the local government center in Barangay Lacaron, Malita town is already halfway finished with a 50.65 percent accomplishment rate to date.

“The building project located in the local government center in Barangay Lacaron, Malita town is already halfway finished.”

Included in the building project are the provision of courtrooms and session halls; offices and workstations; meeting rooms; and other amenities designed to improve the quality of the RTC’s service.

“Once completed, the new building will provide a conducive and secure space for judges, lawyers, litigants, and RTC personnel in carrying out their duties and responsibilities of ensuring fair and efficient delivery of justice,” Bonoan said. 

Funded under the 2023 General Appropriations Act (GAA), the construction of the RTC building has a project cost of P9.89 million with the DPWH Davao Occidental District Engineering Office (DEO) as the implementing office.
