DELA ROSA TO PNP RECRUITS: DO NOT GET INVOLVED IN CORRUPTION, ILLLEGAL DRUGS

Some 197 police recruits recently took their oath as new members of the Police Regional Office 3 (Central Luzon) in a simple ceremony held at the PRO3 parade ground at Camp Olivas, San Fernando City, Pampanga.

Police Chief Supt. Amador V. Corpus, PRO3 regional director, administered the oath-taking of the rookie policemen following their presentation by Senior Supt. Narvin Mangune, chief of the Regional Police Personnel and Human Resource Development Division (RPHRDD).

Former Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief and former Bureau of Corrections Director Bato Dela Rosa, who served as special guest, reminded the new police recruits not to get tangled in corruption and other irregularities, especially involving illegal drugs.

“Never accept bribes or abuse your power because what we hate most are corrupt police personnel. The PNP does not condone policemen and policewomen who are corrupt, abusive and lazy,” Dela Rosa said.

Of the 197 new police recruits, 166 are male officers and 31 are female officers. All were given the rank of Police Officer 1 (PO1).

They were chosen following a stringent screening process conducted by the Regional Screening Committee on Recruitment headed by Chief Supt. Leonardo M. Cesneros, PRO3 Deputy Regional Director for Administration.

After the oath-taking ceremony, the new police recruits will take one more year of training at the Regional Training School 3 in Magalang, Pampanga.

The hiring of the 197 applicants is part of the PO1 Regular Recruitment Program of the PNP for the year 2018.
