DPWH BUILDS AGRO-TOURISM ROAD IN BATAAN

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently completed the concrete paving of a local road providing residents and tourists easier access to the agro-tourism area in Dinalupihan, Bataan.

DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller Tolentino, said that the DPWH Bataan First District Engineering Office (DEO) improved a 988.42-lineal-meters of road in Barangay Pita leading to Dinalupihan Agro-Tourism Area.

“The Barangay Pita local road serves as an entry and exit point to Dinalupihan’s many farm attractions, making its upgrade a much-needed support to the budding agro-tourism industry in the town.”

Funded under the 2022 General Appropriations Act (GAA), the P14.7-million road concreting project was implemented by the DPWH in convergence with the Department of Tourism (DOT) through the Tourism Road Infrastructure Program (TRIP).

The local government of Dinalupihan has been working to transform the town into a rural tourism attraction by kickstarting programs that seek to put an emphasis on the contribution of agro-tourism to inclusive and sustainable development.
