DPWH COMPLETES 2 ROAD PROJECTS IN DAVAO DEL NORTE

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed two road concreting projects in the towns of Sto. Tomas and Carmen in Davao del Norte Province.

DPWH Davao del Norte District Engineer Joselito Caballero identified the newly-completed projects as the new road in Barangay Balagunan, Sto. Tomas, and another in Barangay Alemag, Carmen.

In Barangay Balagunan, the recently-constructed road project involves the concreting of 1.08-kilometer, two-lane road costing P12.9 Million which was completed in January 2022.

The other project in Barangay Alemag is an 884-meter, two-lane road which was completed in February 2022 in the amount of P14.7 Million.

“These newly-paved roads are among the recently-completed high-impact projects in the province, helping people get safer and better access to health, education, and economic opportunities,” Caballero explained.

The completed roads are also envisioned to help farmers and eventually further develop the agri-tourism industry in the province.
