DPWH FINISHES AGRI-TOURISM ROAD IN AURORA TOWN

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has constructed a road in the town of Dipaculao, Aurora, making agricultural land and tourism attractions more accessible.

DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller Tolentino, said that the DPWH Aurora District Engineering Office (DEO) paved a road in Barangay Lipit measuring 1.49 lane-kilometers.

The road project also included the construction of a reinforced concrete box culvert with slope protection to manage water runoff and ensure road stability by preventing erosion or damage caused by excess water flow during heavy rainfall.

“With the newly-constructed road, local farmers in Barangay Lipit now have a better transport route for the fast and efficient delivery of coconuts, fruits, and other agricultural crops to nearby market centers,” Bonoan said.

“The new Barangay Lipit Road also promotes tourism in Aurora Province by enhancing convenience for travelers going to the resorts and other tourist establishments along the scenic stone pebble beaches of Dipaculao.”
