DPWH FINISHES FARM-TO-MARKET ROAD IN LEYTE

In line with the government’s program on increasing farm productivity, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of a farm-to-market road in Barangay San Agustin, Dulag, Leyte for logistical support to farmers in bringing products to market centers.

Based on a report submitted by DPWH Region 8 Director Allan Borromeo, Secretary Manuel Bonoan said that the 1.02 lane-kilometer concrete road project was delivered through the allocation of P11.7-million under the 2022 General Appropriations Act (GAA).

“With this project, farmers will be able to benefit with paved road allowing transport of goods to traders and consumers with relative ease,” Bonoan said.

Implemented by DPWH Leyte Second District Engineering Office, the project commenced in April and was completed in July 2022.
